EuRIC welcomes Czechia's initiative to lower VAT for products containing recycled material

The European Recycling Industry's Confederation (EuRIC) warmly welcomes the Czech Republic's proposal to explore lower VAT rates for products with recycled content. The umbrella organisation pointed out that at present, product prices fail to reflect the significant environmental benefits which the use of recycled materials brings. Reduced VAT rates would stimulate sustainable consumers’ choices by increasing the price competitiveness of sustainable products, EuRIC said.
